The Chairman and CEO of the Eiffage Group, Benoît de Ruffray, has visited, for the first time, the delegations of Eiffage Energía in Madrid, where he could see first hand the company’s income statement during the last year in Spain and the forecasts for 2017.
His first stop was at the delegation of Eiffage Energía in Alcalá de Henares, which he was able to get to know well and to greet all the staff. In this delegation, about 200 people, including technicians, department managers, site managers, prevention of occupational hazards technicians and operators work. Here, electrical distribution tasks with major electricity companies such as Iberdrola and Unión Fenosa, are carried out. Comprehensive maintenance and industrial works, unique installations of Low Voltage and telecommunications maintenance of the High Voltage line, are also carried out.
The influence of Eiffage Energía’s delegation in Alcalá de Henares extends throughout the Community of Madrid and other Autonomous Regions such as Castille and Leon, Extremadura and Aragon. Among its reliable customers stand out the Ministry of Industry, the Senate, Metro de Madrid (Madrid underground), Acciona Infraestructuras or large food chains.
INTERNATIONAL HIGH VOLTAGE AREA
After this first stop, Benoît de Ruffray, accompanied by the CEO of Eiffage Energía José Manuel Martínez, and other members of the steering committee, continued to the Madrid delegation, where the International High Voltage area is managed, with important projects in Africa and Latin America.
At this delegation a meeting was held, in which Eiffage Energía’s most relevant data regarding the evolution of turnover and workforce, and the important development that has been made on the matter of prevention, were presented. On this point, Benoît de Ruffray, expressed his enormous concern over the issue of safety at work, inviting the Spaniards responsible for the company to continue in the same direction “because safety at work is one of the main pillars of Eiffage and Eiffage Energías’ strategic plan.
During the meeting, the latest most important national and international projects were also reviewed, highlighting the good results expected for 2017.
Eiffage Energía has a workforce of over 1700 employees and a turnover of more than 200 million euros. It currently has over 25 delegations in Spain, Chile, Mexico and Peru, and is a benchmark company in the sectors of electricity infrastructure, installations, maintenance, renewable energy and civil and construction work.

Benoît de Ruffray holds the position of Chairman and CEO of the Eiffage Group since December 2015. He began his professional career in 1990 in the Bouygues Group, where he remained until 2003, occupying different positions. Between 2003 and 2007 he was CEO of Dragados Hong Kong, and served as supervisor of Bouygues Travaux Publics in the Asian Pacific and Bouygues Bâtiment International in northern Asia, later being nominated Deputy Director General of the latter.
