Eiffage Energía has been awarded the contract to supply and install intelligent equipment and systems for charging electric vehicles at the premises of Canal de Isabel II in Madrid.
In total, within six months, 220 charging points will be installed with a budget of almost €800,000.
This is a new service offered by Eiffage Energía in view of the need to create infrastructure throughout Europe for the exponential demand for supplying electricity to the vehicle of the future.
In 2017, in Europe, the sale of 100% electric vehicles increased by 48.35% and the sale of plug-in hybrid vehicles amounted to 32.73% compared to 2016.
In Spain, sales of electric vehicles have been increasing exponentially since 2010 and are estimated to be even higher this year. Catalonia and Madrid account for 70% of sales for this type of vehicle.
In addition, the government has prepared two plans (MOVEA and VEA) to subsidise the acquisition of alternative energy vehicles and infrastructure for the development of electrical technology.
In this way, Eiffage Energía proposes a comprehensive solution, aimed at community garages and private car parks, companies and public bodies, ranging from the installation and supply of equipment to the maintenance of the recharging infrastructure.
