Conscytec, construction subsidiary of Eiffage Energía through the Eiffage Garbera UTE (Temporary Union of Companies) formed by Conscytec-Eiffage Energía, has designed and is building the Core & Shell (Earthmoving, Foundation and Containment, Structure, Roof, Façade Enclosure, Sanitation Network and Earthing Network) of the Garbera Shopping Centre, in San Sebastián, for Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, which will become the main comprehensive leisure centre of Guipúzcoa.
The project, which aims to achieve the Breeam Excellent certificate of sustainability and which is managed using BIM 3D, has a budget of more than 25.5 million euros and is expected to end in 2022, with an extension of the existing Shopping Centre by integrating an adjoining plot of 123,884 square metres.
This extension will entail a gross leasable area of more than 36,170 square metres, 67 commercial premises and 3,360 parking spaces spread over two floors.
In this way, Eiffage Energía and its subsidiaries enhance the group’s potential in special building projects which integrate civil engineering and the assembly of all the electrical, mechanical and special installations.
Undoubtedly, this new award is one more step in positioning Conscytec as Eiffage’s construction benchmark in Spain. In this respect, other projects should be highlighted such as Eiffage Energía’s new head offices, the new prestigious office building ‘City of Granada’ for Colonial in Barcelona, or the refurbishment of the Glòries shopping centre for Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, also in Barcelona.
