Eiffage Energía, which handles maintenance at IFEMA, has installed the electrical and water connections for the International Tourism Trade Fair, FITUR, which will open its doors at IFEMA on 22 January, as part of its maintenance contract with Madrid’s trade fair organisers. In this way, Eiffage Energía, which was also the company responsible for installation of the connections for the Climate Summit 2019 (COP25) at IFEMA, which was completed in record time, has two contracts with Madrid’s trade fair organizers which include several maintenance-related actions. On the one hand, in the area of air conditioning, conducting preventive maintenance tasks for IFEMA’s air conditioning installations to ensure normal operation in accordance with prevailing regulations, as well as the regulatory documentation required for each installation.
Other actions by Eiffage Energía at IFEMA
On the other hand, Eiffage Energía is in charge of the electrical, water/drainage and compressed air installations for IFEMA’s stands and other non-exhibition activities. The service provided is based on fair-related activities in 12 halls, the north convention centre and the south office building, which together occupy a total surface area of 700,000 m2, with 200,000 m2 of exhibition space. For all these services, Eiffage Energía, which handles IFEMA’s maintenance, has a multidisciplinary team that varies according to the occupancy of the pavilions and the volume of connections to be installed. These teams are made up of: electrical/electronics, plumbing or mechanical technicians, with up to 40 working in some fairs. This maintenance contract is for two years, with a possible extension of two additional years. Eiffage Energía has a highly qualified on-site technical team to carry out all the specific functions.
