Eiffage Energy, with the Albacete University Hospital Complex, CHUA , is coordinating the design, implementation and execution of the facilities that will be set up as a field hospital at the Albacete Medical School. The goal is to have the facilities ready this week. These exceptional facilities, work on which started today, will have 198 beds in an area measuring more than 2,500m2 set up for patients in order to take pressure off the General University Hospital of Albacete and avoid saturation of its facilities. In addition, Eiffage Energía’s experience in hospital facilities, with a high level of technical difficulty, will make it possible to complete this project in record time and with the best guarantees.
New facilities for the field hospital
Since last Friday, Eiffage Energía’s engineering teams, in direct collaboration with the Hueros-Toledo Arquitectos firm, have been intensly engaged in preparing the implementation and execution project needed to carry out all the essential work to make this field hospital a reality in the shortest possible time. First of all, last Monday we submitted to the CHUA management all the documentation prepared and, finally, yesterday, Tuesday, we received the corresponding approval.
More than 30 technicians to coordinate and build the field hospital in Albacete
Execution of the facilities is being carried out by more than 30 qualified technicians in the field, 6 specialised engineers dedicated to technical management of the projects and coordination of the necessary supplies. In addition, the work has been carried out following the strictest hygienic-sanitary guidelines and conditions. For this purpose, top-flight, high-quality personal protective equipment has been used and continuous disinfection of the facilities has been performed. Beforehand, they received preventive talks, and preliminary analyses, planning and coordination of work was done in an orderly and clean manner, for example. Likewise, three work shifts were established in order to complete all the installations in the shortest possible time. This enabled uninterrupted operation 24 hours a day.
Other collaborating companies
In addition to Eiffage Energía’s on-site specialists and technicians, the necessary collaboration is being provided by several companies such as the Seville architectural firm Hueros-Toledo Arquitectos, the Albacete company Bueno Arenas for plumbing, Iniesta Palomares, of Fuentealbilla, for engineering assistance. Likewise, we have had the collaboration of Madrid-based Pegisdan for the installation of gases and Nippon Gases, which will supply the tank for the oxygen supply. Finally, the help of the Albacete-based company, Sanchez and Soria, that yesterday dismantled and moved the necessary furniture to free up space should be noted.
