This year, World Day for Safety and Health at Work is focused on controlling possible outbreaks of infectious diseases in the workplace and, more specifically, any outbreak of COVID-19. This year’s campaign aims to raise awareness about the adoption of safe practices in the workplace. For this reason, the Joint Prevention Service (SPM) of the Eiffage Energía Group has drawn up an Occupational Health and Safety guide to ensure the continuity of production activities during the COVID-19 pandemic period
Eiffage Energía has drawn up a COVID-19 Occupational Health and Safety Guide
This guide develops all the Health and Safety measures to be followed to fight infection in all the group’s activities. An action protocol is also established for sensitive employees and for possible cases of close contact with infected individuals. Guidelines are established for coordination, training, information and travel to work centres. Measures to be adopted during work, breaks and rest periods and at the end of the working day. Implementation of these measures and the control of protective equipment is being coordinated by the entire team of prevention officers. Spread over all the territories in which the company operates. This initiative comes from the COVID-19 Committee, formed at the beginning of this crisis by the Eiffage Energía Group, comprising representatives from general management and the Health and Safety, Human Resources, Communication, Production and Legal departments. This body periodically provides employees with clear instructions on how to act, with the aim of guaranteeing their health and well-being.
COMMITMENT TO OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
The effort made in recent months to guarantee safety levels with regard to COVID-19 in all activities is yet another example of the strategic and priority commitment to occupational health and safety. The result of this strong COMMITMENT is consolidation of the Low Frequency Index, which is at the target level established by Eiffage. The Chairman and CEO of the Eiffage Group, Benoît de Ruffray, recently sent a letter to all company employees to deliver a message of support and thanks, assuring them that looking after the health and safety of our teams remains our top priority.
Benoît de Ruffray:
“Looking after the Health and Safety of our teams remains our top priority.”
