Telefónica awards contract to Eiffage Energía. Telefónica has awarded Eiffage Energía the framework real estate contract for its network of buildings and technology centres. This represents a major achievement, as it means working with one of the leading operators in the telecommunications sector.
Northern and Mediterranean Zones
Eiffage Energía, which has a huge Spanish and international presence, has been awarded the contract for the following zones: – Northern (including the regions of Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, Basque Country, La Rioja, Navarre and Aragon). –Mediterranean (which includes the regions of Catalonia, Balearic Islands, Valencia and Murcia).
The new contract, with an initial duration of three years, represents a formidable challenge for Eiffage Energía.
This award by Telefónica to Eiffage Energía affects the management of three Territorial Divisions: East, Catalonia and Norte.
Multidisciplinary team
Eiffage Energía will have a multidisciplinary team. It will comprise technical engineers and architects, who will oversee and manage all projects under this contract. It will therefore encompass all types of actions. Mainly these will be in the area of electrical, mechanical and air-conditioning installations and civil engineering. These actions will include various kinds of works. For example:
- Infrastructure expansions due to network deployment
- Adaptation of installations to new regulations
- Improvements in efficiency and sustainability of the centres
- Revamp of installations
- Municipal requirements
- Actions aimed at improving the functionality or safety of the centres, etc.
Telefónica has a network of over 6,000 properties in Spain, including technical and administrative buildings.
Other projects with Telefónica
Eiffage Energía’s experience in this type of contract was a key factor in Telefónica’s confidence in our company. In this regard, other projects with Telefónica are worth noting. Projects such as the award, in 2017, of the maintenance contract for Banco Mare Nostrum’s bank branches, and the framework contract for execution of safety and PCI installations in its network of buildings.
