New Biomedical headquarters. Eiffage Energía’s Electromedicine division, BIOMEDICAL, opens new headquarters in the Paterna Technology Park (Valencia). Biomedical is Eiffage Energía’s trade name for medical equipment maintenance. Under the name, Eiffage Energía performs over 300,000 technical repairs a year, maintains over 240 health centres and over 300 hospitals and clinics.

In addition, through its Electromedical subsidiary, authorised by Spain’s Nuclear Safety Council for the sale and technical assistance of X-ray equipment for medical diagnostic use, Eiffage Energía remains committed to continued specialisation in the biomedical engineering sector. In this way, it is contributing to a better response to the needs of health centres.
During the health crisis caused by Covid-19, Eiffage Energía has pursued initiatives and activities to support the healthcare sector.
This was made possible by our extensive presence in both the public and private healthcare sectors and our wide area of operations. An area that ranges from the supply and maintenance of electromedical equipment to the construction and maintenance of all types of hospital facilities.
Expansion of services
Thus, at Eiffage Energía we are not only providing our services but also expanding them. We placed our expertise and infrastructure at the disposal of the hospital centres to collaborate in the effort to contain the extremely harsh consequences of this pandemic as quickly as possible. In this regard, it should be noted that the Electromedicine area participates in various national working groups:
- Restructuring of work shifts to provide maximum coverage.
- Transfer of ventilation equipment to minimise the shortfall of this type of equipment.
- Implementation of different work protocols for reconditioning monitoring and ventilation equipment.
- Supply of diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Redirection of the stock of essential materials, such as flow meters, regulators and duplicators from the different electromedical laboratories to the centres with the greatest need.
- Transfer of our clients’ equipment between hospitals, etc.
And all this while providing on-site technical support to more than 160 centres.
Among the actions carried out, it is worth noting that Eiffage Energía, together with the Albacete University Hospital Complex, completed the design, implementation, coordination and execution of the facilities of the field hospital at the Albacete Medical School in record time.
