PET-CT at Burgos Hospital. Eiffage Energía, through its Conscytec subsidiary and the Comprehensive Maintenance Business Area, is carrying out the remodelling work for installation of a PET-CT scanner at the Burgos University Hospital (HUBU). Work began on 30 July of last year, and the expected handover date is December 2020. A long-awaited work, as the PET-CT scanner is one of the most advanced devices in the world for the diagnosis of cancer and infections. Our client is Eficanza, the hospital’s infrastructure concession holder. PET-CT is a hybrid medical diagnostic device consisting of a radiation detector, which detects the radiotracer previously injected into the patient, and an X-ray emitting scanner. This device falls within the category of high-technology hospital equipment. PET stands for positron emission tomography. That is, it is a positron-detecting tomographic device. CT stands for computed tomography. In other words, an X-ray scanner, also known as a CT scanner.
Surface area of greater than 360m2
The constructed area of the area to be remodelled is 360.54m2. It is distributed in the following spaces:
