Students of a course on Photovoltaic Solar Energy, from the Foundation for Vocational Training FORPRO, have been able to learn about the operation of an actual plant in the Sonnedixfacilities, which Eiffage Energía maintains on the Romica industrial estate. At Eiffage Energía we work for the training of technicians through specific courses for this sector. Vocational training in which it is necessary to have a practical part, with the help of specialised personnel, so that the students are more and better prepared for the jobs market. Likewise, we are committed to the recruitment of young people into our work teams, thus integrating them into the jobs market in a sector such as the photovoltaic sector, which is in full development. To this end, we collaborate with training entities to guarantee quality and professional training for a key sector in which we have a strong presence.
More than 200 facilities under maintenance
As the figures demonstrate, we are one of the companies that has built the most renewable facilities in Spain:
- 90 wind farms, with a total installed capacity of more than 3.2 GW
- 80 photovoltaic plants, with a power of over 3.5 GW
In addition:
- More than 200 facilities under maintenance;
- More than 2GW of power in solar plant maintenance contracts
- And around 200 qualified technicians.
In recent years there has been a major advance in the digitalisation of maintenance, using new Machine learning tools; use of drones; and increasingly efficient Maintenance Management Software.
Equality
As occurred on this course, we are particularly pleased to see growing numbers of women on technical courses and we hope that our collaboration will serve to continue growing in equality, another of the basic pillars of Eiffage Energía. Through our Equality Plan we include specific training, among other areas, through the development of a job description system and training itineraries.
