The change of trade name to add SISTEMAS to the name of the company, to highlight our positioning as a system integrator and our ascent up the value chain, is one of the topics covered today by Expansion in the Special “Who’s Who in Energy”. The economic newspaper stresses that this change is another example of the company’s continuous evolution process, which allows us to offer comprehensive solutions to our customers’ demands. According to our CEO and CEO of Eiffage in Spain, José Manuel Martínez, these solutions represent a HUB for the Group’s current and future activities”.
This change is also, in the words of José Manuel Martínez, a commitment to sustainability as a path towards the energy transition.
All the activities involved in the company’s development of systems are diverse and include renewable energy, electrical infrastructure, installations, construction projects and maintenance, as well as electromedicine. These areas of activity are complemented by automation and control as a multi-disciplinary area based on digitalization.
Renewable energy and sustainable construction
The newspaper, which places emphasis on several wind and photovoltaic energy projects, also underscores the fact that Eiffage Energía Sistemas is among the companies that have built the most renewable energy facilities in Spain: 94 wind farms, with a total installed power of more than 3.5 GW; and 98 photovoltaic plants, with more than 3.2 GW of capacity, accounting for more than 80% of the Group’s renewables business worldwide.
Another of the company’s major advances, as reported in Expansión, is sustainable construction, particularly one of the most sustainable social housing buildings in the Catalan city of Sabadell, built by our subsidiary Eiffage Conscytec; and the Yugo Bermejales Student Residence in Seville.
On a separate issue, the economic newspaper emphasises that the Eiffage Group is also a benchmark when it comes to taking care of its employees and making them part of the company, reminding its readers that 13% of the company’s share capital is in the hands of its workforce.
