Eiffage Energía Sistemas has been awarded the contract for the complete refurbishment of the building at calle Josefa Valcárcel 48 in Madrid.
The building, owned by MERLIN Properties has a total area of 20,000 m2, distributed on a ground floor + 6 floors above ground and 2 underground floors for parking spaces. The aim is to obtain the Leed Platinum, Well Gold, Carbon Zero and Wiredscore certifications.
It will have extensive landscaped areas; panoramic terraces; a double-height atrium; auxiliary work spaces; and areas for recreation, restaurants and sports facilities.
Landmark building in the A2 business environment
The project was designed by the architecture firm Gaztelu Arquitectos and the installations are by IKDI. Its innovative design is subject to high quality standards, which will position it on the market as a landmark building in the A2 business environment.
This project consolidates the leading position of Eiffage Energía Sistemas in major integral refurbishment projects in exclusive buildings. In the same year, the refurbishment of building 1 of the ÁTICA Business Complex in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid) was also delivered to MERLIN.
