In partnership with the developed Batipart, Conscytec, Eiffage Energía Sistemas’s subsidiary is constructing Spain’s first wooden-structured ‘coliving’ space in the Madrid’s district of Tetuán. Artelia (Project Manager) and the architectural studio sAtt also participated in the project.
Cuatro Caminos Madrid Coliving
This eco-friendly building venture forms part of Cuatro Caminos Madrid Coliving’s second phase, situated on Calle de Topete in Spain’s capital.
It comprises a structure with seven dwellings, covering approximately 1,825 square meters and containing 32 units – cluster rooms – each with a private bathroom, a communal kitchen, and living areas. In addition, the facility will feature coworking spaces, a gym, an internal courtyard, terraces, and bike parking.
Carbon neutral
The Passivhaus-certified building will be carbon neutral, with CO2Null certification, aiming to slash its occupants’ energy usage by 80%. Furthermore, it will be a renewable energy producer, generating 20 kWp of photovoltaic energy, partially powering the adjacent building – the project’s first phase which is already in operation.
This technically intricate endeavour has earned accolades from its client, also a customer of Eiffage Construction in France, for its execution in record time.
