Eiffage Energy Systems is involved in the refurbishment of the City of Justice in Murcia, focusing on improving energy efficiency.
This is part of a series of actions to enable Murcia’s judicial buildings to meet current EU standards for energy efficiency and sustainability.
The energy savings from this project will result in a 47.22% improvement in the consumption of non-renewable primary energy compared to current usage.
Replacement of all lighting
Specifically, Eiffage Energía Sistemas will replace all lighting in the City of Justice building in Murcia with LED technology, and install a control system to manage the lighting.
A total of 6,719 light fittings will be replaced, and 3,324 light sensors and 621 presence and motion detectors will be installed.
Electric vehicle charging points
The project also includes the installation of six charging points for electric vehicles. These are single-phase chargers with a power of 7.4kW.
It is worth noting that our experience in this field has led us to develop significant projects for electric vehicle charging installations.
One example is the construction of Spain’s largest ultra-fast electrical charging station, by Endesa and Eysa, in Ciudad de la Imagen, on the outskirts of Madrid; or our collaboration in the largest electrical charging station in southern Europe, developed by Iberdrola in partnership with Porsche, in Alicante.
We have also signed a Framework Agreement for the installation of electric chargers for Acciona nationwide.
In addition, we were one of the companies awarded the tender for the installation of charging points for Iberdrola’s electric vehicles in several areas of Spain; and we have completed the supply and installation of 48 150kW chargers for the electrification of the municipal bus fleet in the city of Barcelona, among other projects.
