At Eiffage Energía Sistemas we have taken a significant step in our group’s electrification process by adding nearly 100 electric vehicles to our fleet.
This new acquisition, consisting of passenger cars and light industrial vehicles, has been made possible thanks to the Moves Flotas Programme grant awarded in 2022.
Advanced digital tools
As part of our commitment to the environment and efficiency, we have implemented advanced digital tools for measuring and analysing the consumption and driving habits of each vehicle. These innovations allow us to optimise the use of our resources and reduce our environmental impact.
Looking to the future, we are currently planning the next renewal of our fleet. During 2024 and 2025, we will renew more than 1,000 vehicles with more sustainable options, and hybrid vehicles will play a fundamental role.
Electric chargers
We have also installed electric chargers at our branches so that we can perform and manage our own charges. In total, thanks to agreements with two manufacturers: SCHNEIDER and ABB, we currently have a total of 102 chargers.
The addition of these vehicles results in a reduction of 382 tons of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere each year.
To provide some examples illustrating the environmental importance of this action, a typical car emits around 4.6 tons of CO2 per year. Therefore, the reduction of 382 tons of CO2 would be comparable to taking approximately 83 vehicles off the road for a year. Similarly, the average energy consumption of a household in Spain is approximately 3.2 tons of CO2 per year. Therefore, 382 tons of CO2 would be equivalent to the electricity consumed by around 119 Spanish households for a year.
More efficient and safer driving
Additionally, we are implementing a series of initiatives to promote more efficient and safer driving among all Eiffage Energía Sistemas Group personnel, including:
- • Training in efficient driving techniques through our internal platforms (mobile app and SharePoint).

- • Promotion of carpooling for business trips and commuting.
- • Exclusion of the most polluting vehicles.
