Our CEO, José Manuel Martínez, and the president of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) in the province of Albacete, María Victoria Fernández Martínez, have signed a Framework Agreement to join forces in the fight against cancer.
The signing ceremony, which took place at the headquarters of Eiffage Energía Sistemas, was also attended by the Human Resources Director, Victoria Guerrero; the Health and Safety Director, Juan Pablo Valverde; and Enrique Sainz Pardo and Alberto Naranjo Pastor, Vice President and Manager, respectively, of AECC in Albacete.
With this agreement, our company commits to providing information and raising awareness to promote the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits for cancer prevention, by supporting and publicising AECC campaigns and activities, along with any other activity that benefits those affected by the disease or aimed at cancer prevention.
Thus, Eiffage Energía Sistemas undertakes to collaborate in the Association’s campaigns and to carry out any actions required to publicise the joint activities that pursue the aims set out in the agreement.
The AECC, for its part, will provide Eiffage Energía Sistemas with internal campaign materials and prevention content to facilitate our awareness raising activities.
“Your Health Comes First”
Specifically, Eiffage Energía Sistemas has joined the Association’s program “Your Health Comes First”. The collaboration will involve working with the Association to organise a range of actions.
Actions include talks on giving up smoking during the holidays, conferences, courses, training and informational days, etc., to promote healthy lifestyle habits among our employees.
Economic cooperation
Additionally, Eiffage Energía Sistemas may promote activities aimed at fund-raising among its employees; make occasional donations to the Association; register the company as a member; sponsor Association events; or carry out, if agreed upon by both parties, other additional actions different from those mentioned above.
Spanish Network of Healthy Companies
It is worth noting that Eiffage Energía Sistemas is part of the Spanish Network of Healthy Companies (REES), which includes, among other things, the need to design programs that improve the health of workers and the organisation; implement a health culture that meets the needs of both the organization and the workers; and integrate health management into the company’s strategic plan.
