Furthering our commitment to sustainability and our global decarbonisation strategy, Eiffage Energía Sistemas is accredited as a delegated subject by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) for the purchase and sale of Energy Savings Certificates.
What is a ESC?
An Energy Saving Certificate (ESC) is an electronic document that guarantees that, after conducting an energy efficiency action, a new final energy saving equivalent to 1 kWh has been achieved.
This instrument allows monetising energy savings, recovering part of the cost of energy efficiency investments (change of lighting, improvement of thermal insulation, renovation of industrial or domestic equipment, etc.), since the end-user will be able to receive a consideration if he/she sells the savings obtained for subsequent certification through the ESC System.
Actions implemented on or after 26 January 2023 (inclusive) and which comply with the requirements of the Energy Efficiency Directive and other regulations will be eligible to generate ESC.
These actions may be standardised (those easily replicable and included in the Catalogue); or singular (those more complex or particular, not included in the Catalogue). We help monetise savings
As a delegated subject, at Eiffage Energía Sistemas, we help to monetise savings and accompany our clients throughout the process, right from the beginning.
We cover all aspects of the management of the entire savings certification process; calculations; document management; verification and registration of the ESCs. Moreover, we can recover the savings obtained from the actions carried out from January 2023.
Through this service, we perform energy audits to detect opportunities for savings in the installations and building envelope and logistics network, and we improve energy management (with our own telemetry system). We are specialists in renewable energies and transform all the savings achieved into an immediate financial benefit through the ESCs (Energy Saving Certificates).
