Eiffage Energía Sistemas has just begun construction of two solar photovoltaic plants for Everwood Capital in the Córdoba municipality of Montemayor: Cabra, with a capacity of 250 MWp; and Olivar, at 50 MWp. With an investment of more than 134 million euros, this is one of the most important photovoltaic projects in the province.
The turnkey (EPC) project includes supplying the main equipment, the high-voltage evacuation infrastructure and providing the operation and maintenance service. Commissioning is scheduled for June 2027.
Clean energy for more than 172,000 households
With an estimated production of more than 600,000 MWh per year, the Cabra and Olivar plants will generate enough clean energy to supply around 172,000 homes, thus avoiding the emission of more than 430,000 tonnes of CO₂ into the atmosphere each year. Besides this positive environmental impact, the project will directly contribute to boosting the local economy, generating employment for local businesses and people. The planned environmental measures include the creation of a perimeter vegetation screen, which is designed to reduce the visual impact of the complex and promote the biodiversity of the natural environment.
