Eiffage Energía has obtained the certification for its Energy Management System according to the UNE-EN ISO 50001:2011 standard from AENOR for the activities of “Management and comprehensive maintenance of building elements and buildings’ installations, premises and offices within the public, industrial and tertiary sectors”. This new certification covers the Head Office located in Albacete, as well as its local offices in Madrid and Valencia.
With the adoption of the Energy Management System and its certification by an independent entity such as AENOR, Eiffage Energía wants to highlight its commitment to sustainable energy development, the improvement of its energy performance, energy efficiency, and the use and consumption of energy. The implementation of this standard intends to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and other related environmental impacts, as well as the energy costs of our operations and services.
The certification of the ISO 50001 energy management system covers the following aspects:
-Management and comprehensive maintenance (preventive, corrective, modification, conductive and technical legal) of structural elements and buildings’ installations, sites and offices within the public, industrial and tertiary sectors in heating systems (systems of air conditioning, heating, thermal fluid distribution)
-Cooling installations (industrial and commercial refrigeration equipment)
-Networks of cold and heat, compressed air, pressure vessels, electricity (high and low voltage)
-Fire protection installations
-Plumbing
-Uninterruptible power supply systems
-Auditing and energy efficiency management
-Gardening
-Cleaning
This recognition adds to the certifications already obtained by our company in other internationals references, such as the standards ISO 9001 in quality management, ISO 14001 in environmental management, OHSAS 18001 in occupational health and safety, and the most recent UNE-EN ISO 13485 in Quality of Health Products for the Electro-medical area .
