Eiffage Energía is building the Paderne photovoltaic plant in Portugal

Photovoltaic plant in Portugal. Eiffage Energía is constructing a 17.4-MW photovoltaic plant owned by NextPower III, the international investment fund managed by NextEnergy Capital. The project is in Paderne, 245 km from Lisbon, Portugal. This is an EPC contract, and construction is scheduled for completion in the last quarter of the year.

This photovoltaic plant, with a budget of nearly 8 million euros, covers 95 hectares. It will have four 3,500-KVA transformer stations and 39,564 photovoltaic modules.

The Paderne plant will avoid 7,500 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year and provide clean energy to some 9,000 people.

Eiffage Energía’s expertisein Portugal

Eiffage Energía’s expertise in Portugal dates back to 2008, with the EPC construction of Amareleja. The largest solar plant in Europe at the time, with a capacity of 46 MW.

As of February of this year, we have participated in the construction of 78 photovoltaic plants, with a total installed capacity of 3,500 MW.

NextEnergy Capital Group is a leading Investment and asset manager in the renewable energy sector and in the photovoltaic sector in particular. It has extensive experience in the sector and has close to USD 2.3bn worth of assets under management, with nearly 1GW of installed capacity and more than 200 projects in operation.

The Paderne Project is part of the portfolio acquired by NextPower III ESG Fund and the first of several transactions completed in the past year on the Iberian Peninsula.
