The Eiffage Energía Group COVID-19 Committee, made up of general management and the Health and Safety, Human Resources, Communication and Productiondepartments, has given its employees clear instructions for action. The aim is to protect them while guaranteeing their health and well-being, achieving transparent and rigorous communication, and guaranteeing the provision of services to clients, while adapting work procedures to the measures implemented by the competent authorities. The action plan to protect its employees was implemented through 24 measures which have been communicated to workers through a statement signed by the CEO of Eiffage Energía, José Manuel Martínez which will remain in force until further notice, always following the guidelines set by the Public Administrations.
ACTION PLAN TO PROTECT ITS EMPLOYEES
In addition to promoting telework, which affects all pregnant women and all positions where it is feasible, preventive hygiene measures have been increased and break areas have been closed to avoid groups of employees in close confinement. In addition, domestic and international travel is prohibited, except in special situations, as well as attendance at external events. In most cases, meetings will be held via video-conferencing, and any necessary face-to-face ones will be held with the smallest number of attendees and have a limited duration. For employees who work outside the office, staggered shifts will be established for collecting material, avoiding direct contact between the different brigades and, to the extent possible, brigade members should not mix. Likewise, intensive workdays will be organised for site personnel to avoid employees getting together at meal breaks. This is a series of measures in addition to those already communicated on 5 March and to the action protocol that affects all employees for the purpose of communicating what an employee should do according to the situation. This protocol reflects the instructions issued by the World Health Organization(WHO) and Spain’s Ministry of Health and Public Health.
