Training Camp. Since last June, we have had a new Training Camp at the Eiffage Energía headquarters in Albacete for the purpose of improving our workers’ skills in the area of high-voltage live work. To make it more effective, specially designed supports for this type of training were installed, and the work area was enlarged and cleared for greater safety.
Courses
In addition to initial and refresher courses on high-voltage work and work at heights, initial courses and refresher courses on lifting platforms and insulating nacelles are given. The following courses are offered: specific initial training in the practical side of high-voltage live work by method (distance and contact, for a total of 240 hours). It is aimed at new employees with no previous experience or qualifications in this type of work; refresher courses on high-voltage live work (for workers already performing this work, to improve their skills or as a refresher); work at height for high voltage and for elevating platforms and insulating nacelles.
Ludovic Duplan’s visit
During his recent visit to Spain, the international general manager of Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, Ludovic Duplan, had the opportunity to visit this training camp. He also attended part of a high-voltage live work practice session in an initial specific training course. The aim of this training is for the operators to acquire the necessary expertise to begin performing high-voltage work. By contact and distance method. To achieve this, Eiffage Energía’s high-voltage live work procedures are taught. In addition, this practical training must be given by a worker who is an expert on and has experience in high-voltage live work.
