We are completing work on the Paderne photovoltaic farm, 245 km from Lisbon, Portugal. A project that is scheduled to be powered up during the first quarter of this year. It is a 17.4 MW plant. The project is being implemented in a joint venture with JJTomé, an Eiffage Group company that is in charge of the High Voltage evacuation line and the step-up substation. This photovoltaic farm, with a budget of around 10 million euros, occupies a surface area of 20 hectares. It will have three 5.07-MVA transformer substations and 38,892 photovoltaic modules.
The Paderne plant will avoid 7,500 tonnes of atmospheric CO2 emissions each year and provide clean energy to some 9,000 people.
During its construction, direct employment was generated for around 60 people. In addition, we have run several environmental activities, including the relocation of 150 olive trees as a vegetation screen and 12 carob trees for landscape integration; and the creation of green areas where the area’s fauna can feed.
Eiffage Energía’s expertisein Portugal
Eiffage Energía’s experience in Portugal dates back to 2008, with the EPC construction of Amareleja. At that time, it was the largest solar farm in Europe with a capacity of 46 MW of power. As of February this year, we have participated in the construction of 80 photovoltaic plants, with a total installed power of de 3,500 MW. https://youtu.be/fYJTAelgpjA
