“Spain and the European Union have to overcome their energy dependence.” This was a statement made by our CEO and delegate of Eiffage in Spain, José Manuel Martínez, in an interview published by the newspaper Levante in the Valencian Community. In this interview he talks about the company, its present and future challenges and the sector of Engineering, Assembly, Maintenance and Industrial Services companies, whose association, ADEMI he has chaired since September 2021.
Eiffage Energía and the group of companies that make up ADEMI “are capable of making this energy transition because we have the technological capacity to carry it out.”
Regarding energy dependence, Martínez explains that with the current scenario we are experiencing in Europe with the situation in Ukraine, “Spain and the European Union have to set up a framework that allows us to achieve energy independence.” In other words, stable legislation must be put in place so that the planned investments do not go into a risk tailspin, to ensure that they are maintained, and that wealth is generated by creating more employment. “In this way, the Spanish and European economies will continue to grow and the company will continue with its expectations of sustained and sustainable growth.”
The success of Eiffage Energía
José Manuel Martínez says that Eiffage Energía’s success is down to the way we operate. Therefore, he stresses that “we are a company with the strength and resources of a multinational, but we work with the proximity and agility of an SME.”
In addition, he notes that “we have a very competitive and highly qualified team, as a result of our corporate culture.”
In this regard, our CEO explains that Eiffage Energía’s challenge is to continue growing in a sustainable and sustained manner; as well as to increase our turnover, which in 2021 was 675 million euros, with more than 4,300 employees.
Unique value
Regarding the value that sets Eiffage Energía apart from its competitors, José Manuel Martínez states that the company “combines the solid financial, economic and structural strengths of a multinational, without losing agility in a firm commitment to digitalization, innovation, modernization, sustainability, equality and flexibility.” Factors that, he says, have been key to attracting talent and remaining at the forefront of technological development.
