National Congress of Business Areas. The Albacete Conference Center hosts the 4th National Congress of Business Areas. A meeting organized by the Spanish Confederation of Business Areas, CEDAES, and sponsored by Eiffage Energía.
This event aims to discuss the current situation of Industrial Parks; analyze its management; as well as promoting production areas from a sustainable point of view.
With the organization of this Congress, it is intended to introduce the concepts of Sustainability in the productive areas. Places where more than 50% of the national GDP is generated. In the same way, the aim is to promote the implementation of the 2030 Agenda Objectives in these productive spaces.
In the presentation of this meeting, our CEO and CEO of Eiffage in Spain, José Manuel Martínez, assured that the business areas are a main agent in the economic development of cities. Something that translates directly into quality and stability of employment; salary level; level of exports; economic stability; and, therefore, in its sustainability.
Decarbonization of the economy and the energy transition
According to Martínez, it is necessary to generate conditions that reinforce these industrial ecosystems in order to create sustainable business areas as part of the sustainable city. How? Through efficient management in all areas. Promoting intelligent management models for industrial areas; sustainable; energetically self-sufficient; collaborative and efficient; and paving the way towards the decarbonisation of the economy and the energy transition.
For this, José Manuel Martínez highlights the necessary Public-Private collaboration. In this sense, at Eiffage Energía, through a framework agreement with Zincaman, we are working on a model for the development of Smart and Sustainable Industrial Areas. A model based on the concept of Local Energy Community within the industrial environment.
Albacete, national epicenter of the debate
In this way, Albacete becomes a meeting point for representatives of more than 6,000 business areas throughout Spain. An event in which about 250 people from all over the country participate.
This Congress is aimed at managers of business parks; town halls; regional governments; and companies related to industrial infrastructure, among others.
