Our subsidiary Conscytec is 20 years old. To celebrate, it has organized several events featuring participation by all its workers.
These include a team-building activity based on “La Casa de Papel” (“Money Heist”) in the Pinares del Júcar. In addition, with the attendance of the CEO of Eiffage Energía and managing director of Eiffage in Spain, José Manuel Martínez, the new dossier was presented, as well as the recently updated website and a corporate video made for the occasion.
Two decades of activity
Conscytec was established in 2002. It arose from the need to cover the growing construction activity of its parent company, then Electrosur XXI, and later Eiffage Energía.
It specializes in the execution and management of projects in building and civil works. It offers a comprehensive service, including new construction, refurbishment and renovation. Eiffage Conscytec executes all phases of the project through to “turnkey” delivery.
The acquisition of Electrosur in 2003 by the multinational Eiffage marked a radical change in the company’s strategic plan. From then on, it expanded its activity to other types of works and clients, without neglecting its traditional activity.
Commitment to its customers
Conscytec bases its activity on a strong commitment to its customers. This ensures a constant improvement process. Its work focuses on technological development and diversification. Accordingly, it is possible to take on both national and international projects with the utmost guarantees.
International growth
In 2014, it began its international growth. It did so by partnering Eiffage Energía in the development of major renewable energy projects. The first of these was in Poland, with construction of the Pawlowo wind farm.
Today, it has become the benchmark construction company of the Eiffage Group in Spain. This has been possible thanks to the execution of large-scale projects in the areas in which it specializes: remodelling of shopping centres; singular projects; private residential; industrial facilities; and renewable-energy civil works.
Featured projects
Among the projects that have marked Conscytec’s trajectory, it is worth mentioning: the Torre 4 Porta Firal office building, in Barcelona, for Iberdrola Inmobiliaria, in 2015; expansion of the Garbera shopping centre in San Sebastian, in 2019; first work carried out with a wooden structure, in 2021, with the construction of 21 homes in Carrer de Zurbano, in Sabadell; or the first self-promotion with the construction of 18 Passivhaus homes, in the Imaginalia neighbourhood, this year in Albacete.
In addition, other unique projects in which it has participated are: the Aeronautical and Logistics Park in Albacete; the Airbus Helicopters Factory, also in Albacete; the Alternative Emergency Management Centre, at the Almaraz nuclear power plant; Parc Glòries office building, in Barcelona; Puy du Fou Spain Theme Park, in Toledo; the star of the Tower of the Virgin Mary, in the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona; Urbania student residence, in Seville; REPETCO recycling plant, in Albacete; or the repair of the Renault Spain test track, in Valladolid.
Through Conscytec, Eiffage Energía has 20 years’ experience in project management and execution. In particular, in the building area. The company operates in all sectors of activity, for both the private and public sectors. In addition, it offers global solutions, acting locally and putting its resources and know-how at the customer’s service.
What gives the company its edge is the fact that its offer is based on five key points: low carbon construction; 360º service, full scope of civil works and facilities, in an integrated way; solvency, based on relevant technical, financial and safety capacity; organizational strategy based on the ‘Eiffage-turnkey’ scheme; and an important local component.
Low-carbon construction
In addition, Eiffage Conscytec is using industrialized construction methods. Its uses contra-laminated timber (CLT) frames, prefabricated bathrooms and façades with timber trusses.
This is a milestone that represents a radical change and improves project management; reduces construction times; considerably lowers the volume of waste; minimises the use of manufacturing emission-intensive materials and improves health and safety in construction.
The aim is to sustainably contribute to reducing the carbon footprint of our projects.
