The President of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, has inaugurated the extension works of the Castilla-La Mancha Science and Technology Park (PCTCLM) in Albacete, carried out by Eiffage Energía Sistemas.
The event was attended by our CEO and managing director of Eiffage in Spain, José Manuel Martínez.
The project involved work to adapt the semi-basement of the Business R&D Centre. A surface area of approximately two thirds of the undeveloped semi-basement (around 1600 m2 of a total surface area of 2283 m2), with an approximate budget of €700,000.
With this work, the PCTCLM intends to meet the occupancy demands of various companies. The aim is to create more spaces, in response to the demand from entrepreneurs and companies seeking proximity to the University and students who have completed their studies.
Refurbishment and new layout
The refurbishment consisted of adapting part of the semi-basement of the Business R&D Centre, which was left unfinished when the building was constructed.
The new layout of the ground floor will include:
-Ten office modules for companies, of between 89 and 140 m2.
-A 137 m2 multi-purpose room.
-Two lavatory modules.
-A hallway.
In addition, a cafeteria has been opened to provide catering services to workers of all companies in the PCTCLM.
It should be emphasised that the Science and Technology park is constantly modernising its facilities by taking action such as replacing traditional energy with clean energy, such as geothermal energy and air source heat pumps, and that it is now working on the incorporation of photovoltaic energy.
