The Board of Directors of Eiffage has presented the annual accounts for 2022. The results show a turnover of 20.319 billion euros, an increase of 8.5% compared to 2021.
In the energy systems sector, to which Eiffage Energía Sistemas belongs, the activity increased by 12% to 5.32 billion euros. Out of this turnover, more than 22% came from the international level, mainly Spain, Holland, Switzerland, Benelux and Germany. Strong growth was seen in these countries. In Spain, Eiffage Energía Sistemas it achieved a turnover of 930 million euros.
Emphasis should be placed on the 15.3% increase in consolidated net income, to 896 million euros.
Also worthy of note is the current operating profit of 2.212 billion euros, 15.3% more than in 2021, which in Projects and Concessions exceeds levels from prior to the coronavirus crisis.
The project portfolio reached 18.5 billion euros, an increase of more than 2 billion euros in one year, driven mainly by transport infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
The results show a solid financial position, with a further increase in free cash flow, solid cash flow in construction and an increase of 25 million euros of net financial debt compared to 2021, amounting to 271 million euros, due to significant growth investments.
“Our know-how and industrial capabilities in Belgium, Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, the United Kingdom and Portugal are a great way to leverage strong demand, especially in renewable energies” said Eiffage’s chairman and CEO, Benoît de Ruffray.
Committed to the energy transition
The Group has continued its carbon emissions reduction strategy through new actions such as the presentation of the dossier validating its low-carbon approach to the SBTi; or the presentation to the French Biodiversity Office of the follow-up report on its 2020-2022 Biodiversity Action Plan and the new 2023-2025 plan.
For the first time, the group is publishing the share of its turnover aligned with the climate change mitigation target, according to the European green taxonomy, which is 16.7% by 2022, with an eligibility of 45.8%.
