This is an innovative project that will receive a 4.4 million euro investment funded by the European Union-Next Generation-Recovery Plan. The Alzheimer’s Reference Centre in Albacete, covering 3,000 square metres, will serve 100 people in a day centre and will have three areas dedicated to therapies, research, and related areas. In the day centre, on the ground floor, there will be two activity rooms and a multi-purpose room, a room for meetings and small group activities, and the occupational therapy and recreational activities room. Also located on this ground floor is the room for meetings with relatives. On the first floor, there is the dining room and kitchen; spaces for physiotherapy and rehabilitation, in a 100 square metre gym; as well as hairdressing, podiatry, and healthcare services. Finally, on the second floor is the rest and relaxation room, spanning over 200 square metres. It aims to be a modern construction, with a strong institutional character, equipped with the necessary facilities to provide the care and therapeutic quality that users with this disease need.
