Through our Interior Installations department, we have carried out the electrical installations at the Airbus Industrial Logistics Hub in Albacete.
The company Ámbito Gestión Urbanística S.L. entrusted Eiffage Energía Sistemas with this project due to our proven experience in the logistics sector. A project that has posed a significant challenge for our company due to the building’s size, technical complexity, and the short execution timeframe.
Scope of the work
We have completed low-voltage electrical work in an industrial building consisting of four logistics cells, each measuring 10,127.04m²; an office area covering 1,274m²; a control building of 162m²; and an adjacent warehouse of 1,250m².
In addition to the built area, a surface area of 48,811m² was developed, including light vehicle parking areas, heavy vehicle parking, and roadways for vehicles.
Sustainable construction certificate criteria
The installations have been designed according to BREEAM sustainable construction certification criteria to ensure the certification is obtained.
The building stands out from other logistics constructions due to high lighting levels, with a uniformity value above 0.8 inside the warehouse. The light fittings are equipped with DALI technology to regulate light flux based on natural light input, maximising energy savings.
Electrical distribution was implemented from the main distribution panel (LVMP) located in the electrical room next to the transformer substation. This panel distributes to the secondary panels of the cells, offices, and developed areas. The panels are fitted with energy meters according to the metering scheme defined by BREEAM.
Airbus Helicopters
It should be noted that Eiffage Energía Sistemas, through our subsidiary Eiffage Conscytec, executed the “turnkey” project for the Eurocopter industrial complex, now Airbus Helicopters.
The complex comprises more than 75,000 m² built for helicopter manufacturing and maintenance, as well as offices and complementary uses, including building and urban development.
Main features
Eiffage Energía Sistemas was also responsible for the implementation and execution of the Comprehensive Maintenance Plan with CMMS; it collaborated with the project design; construction of an aeronautical industrial zone; construction of the different factory buildings; and electrical and mechanical installations, with an installed power of 4,800 KVA.
It is considered the most important project in Castilla La Mancha in recent years.
